Miss Rwanda 2021 Contestants visit Hyundai Rwanda to have a feel of the prize car

Thursday afternoon was a day of excitement as Miss Rwanda 2021 contestants visited the Hyundai Rwanda showroom in Gikondo, Kicukiro district where they were shown around the car dealership and were able to see the prize car -the brand-new Hyundai Creta 2021.

The contestants were thrilled to see the car which the winner of Miss Rwanda 2021 will drive home after the grand finale on Saturday March 20, 2021 at the Intare Conference Arena.

The car worth about Rwf38m is the grand prize and was offered by Hyundai Rwanda, one of the main sponsors of Miss Rwanda 2021.

According to Jean Paul Muramira, the CEO of Hyundai Rwanda, they came on board to support Miss Rwanda because they believe in the empowerment of women and girls and by awarding the winner with the car, they believe it will be a way of facilitating her to carry out her mandate.

“Hyundai Rwanda was delighted to be part of this partnership with Miss Rwanda, which we are proud of because it empowers the girl child,”

“Hyundai Creta is a mid-size SUV which was manufactured in 2021. It is a raised vehicle, which is as good as an SUV. It can navigate all the roads in the country, meaning that Miss Rwanda will be able to go to all corners of the country,”

“It has nice leather seats and some of the most advanced technologies. It has a Bluetooth system, advanced radio system with a touch screen and it is a 5-seater with ample legroom. It has a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats and very sleek headlights. It is a car fit for Miss Rwanda,” Muramira said.

He pointed out that after tax, the car is worth Rwf38m and they thought that they needed to give Miss Rwanda a car that fits the title and the crown.

Muramira urged Rwandans to check out the Hyundai Rwanda showroom and buy any car of their choice because Hyundai makes affordable yet so reliable cars.

“Partnering with Miss Rwanda was for us to show that we are here in Rwanda to solve the challenge of expensive cars. Hyundai gives Rwandan vehicles of their choices, from big SUVs, to medium SUVs and Sedans,”

“We also have buses and trucks in all sizes. We also have different types of machinery for construction and we also have a garage with all Hyundai spare parts, ranging from old to new cars.

“We showed the girls around our showroom and garage. For 8 years we have been in the Rwandan market trying to make a difference in the car market. Rwandans should not pay attention to stereotypes around Hyundai cars. These are reliable and very comfortable cars which the entire world is appreciating,” Muramira said.

The girls were shown the features of the sleek Hyundai Creta and an opportunity to have a ‘feel’ of its features. Muramira commended the Miss Rwanda organisers for defying the odds to organise Miss Rwanda 2021, regardless of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are impressed by the organisation of Miss Rwanda so far and proud to be part of it. The Miss Rwanda team proved to us that the pandemic is just a temporary situation which should not stop our lives and plans. We look forward to future partnerships with Miss Rwanda,” Muramira said.

Miss Rwanda 2021 contestants continue to be in the bootcamp at La Palisse Nyamata, where they are being trained and coached on different aspects in strict adherence to COVID-19 measures.
