Biography
Grace Bahati was born in Uganda on March 15th 1991, she and her family moved to Rwanda at the age of three after the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. She was born into a large family, Grace learned early that family and friends were the most important part of life. When she was 16 years old she decided to follow an opportunity in modeling.
It was her life long friends that encouraged her and along with her family’s support to do what she loved the most. She had fun on the stage as a runway model and at 18 years old she entered into the world of pageantry competing for Miss Rwanda 2009 crown- the first ever after the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. She quickly won the title of Miss Rwanda 2009 and also took home the Miss photogenic title. With her title she was able to carry out several charity activities and throughout her reign inspired young girls and boys to be confident and use their God given abilities to reach their full potential.
Grace was determined and took on opportunities awarded to her, in 2011, she decided to follow her dreams and make a move to the USA to further her education and explore more opportunities. She earned her Bachelors degree in Biology and Chemistry at Mount Mercy University and holds an associates of applied science degree in Dental Assistant.
