Colombe Akiwacu

Colombe was born in 1994, 3 months after the genocide against the Tutsi. Growing up, she always wanted to help those in need, especially genocide survivors. She is the 4th of a large family of 5 children and two parents Mukankusi Immaculée and Gatali vital

Colombe graduated from high school in MPC at Stella Matutina. She has always been involved in school activities such as basketball, modern and traditional dance, debate….
She started beauty pageants at a very young age, she was crowned Miss Stella Matutina 2012 at 17 years old, Miss Eastern Province 2013 at 18 and Miss Rwanda 2014 at 19, she also participated later on in Miss Supranational as Miss Supranational Rwanda 2016 at 22 years old.

During her reign as miss Rwanda, she was involved in community and charitable works. she has been able to deliver food and health care to hundred families in need and most of all she has been able to built 2 houses for genocide survivors in Rwamagana.

Colombe was the United Nations Rwandan Youth Representative at the 2014 United Nations Climate Change Summit in New York and she represented Rwandan youth at the 9th Unesco Youth Forum in Paris in 2015.

Colombe is currently working as a model in Paris and holds a bachelor’s degree in digital marketing and a master’s degree in bigdata marketing.
